A journey where every day unfolds with new, extraordinary discoveries, from the bright colors of ancient temples to the golden light of a Himalayan sunrise? Our Nepal Private Tour is an exclusive and thoughtfully crafted adventure that takes you on a grand exploration of the famous "Golden Triangle" of Nepal: the historic capital of Kathmandu, the pristine jungles of Chitwan, and the serene lakeside city of Pokhara, all with the added allure of a spectacular Himalayan sunrise from Nagarkot.

This 9-day-long private guided tour of Nepal is designed for those who seek to discover the country's treasures in comfort, style, and at a relaxed pace. Just forget about long, strenuous treks or the challenges of high-altitude hikes; this journey prioritizes your comfort and enjoyment. You will travel in a private vehicle, guided by an expert who is passionate about sharing the stories of their homeland. This makes our private tour a perfect choice for everyone, from newlyweds celebrating their honeymoon and families with young children to retirees enjoying their golden years. In a short span of just over a week, you will embark on one of the most memorable and diverse journeys through Nepal imaginable.

Your adventure commences in Kathmandu, a city that enjoys a unique and captivating conjunction of the ancient and the modern. You will explore the exceptional heritage of the Kathmandu Valley, visiting its most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the Buddhist symbols of Swayambhunath and Boudhanath, and the sacred Hindu cremation site of Pashupatinath. You will also have the chance to step back in time in the ancient royal cities of Patan and Bhaktapur, where the three magnificent Palace Squares stand as silent testimony to a bygone era of kings, sages, and master Newari artisans.

From the valley, your planned itinerary will take you to the famous lookout point of Nagarkot. Reaching this magical spot before dawn, you will witness nature playing its own incredible show, lighting up a vast panorama of beautiful Himalayan peaks, from the Annapurnas in the west to Everest in the east on a clear day. The journey then continues, taking you far from the mountains and into a completely different world: the subtropical, jungle wonderland of Chitwan National Park. Here, you will be involved in thrilling adventures, from a jeep safari through the savanna-like grasslands in search of the one-horned rhinoceros and the elusive Bengal tiger, to a peaceful canoe ride on the Rapti River.

Your journey then turns towards the mountains again, taking you to the city that will never stop enchanting you: Pokhara. From the mystical Devi's Falls and the Gupteswor Cave to the serene Phewa Lake and the brilliant white World Peace Pagoda, this city is a harmonious blend of natural beauty and human ingenuity. As a beautiful and spiritual conclusion to your trip, your return journey to Kathmandu will include a spectacular cable car ride up to the wish-fulfilling Manakamana Temple.

In short, our Nepal Private Tour has every element of an intriguing and unforgettable journey that you could ever desire: ancient places of power, magnificent stupas and temples, luxurious nature, and a special, slightly mystical atmosphere. Welcome to the REAL Nepal.

    • Airport transfers in a private vehicle.
    • Comfortable private vehicle transportation for the entire tour with professional drivers.
    • All ground transportation for sightseeing tours, transfers between destinations, and visits to all attractions.

    Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend securing comprehensive travel insurance before joining the Nepal Private Tour. Although the trip is easy and low-risk, unexpected issues can still arise during international travel. Your insurance should ideally include:

    • Coverage for medical treatment, emergencies, and evacuation when traveling through diverse terrain, from lowlands to hill regions.
    • Protection during all tour activities, including sightseeing, cultural excursions, and transportation between destinations.
    • Trip cancellation or interruption benefits in case of health problems, weather disturbances, or other unforeseen circumstances.
    • Compensation for lost, stolen, or damaged luggage, equipment, and personal belongings.
    • Optional adventure activity coverage if you plan to participate in activities such as jungle safaris, paragliding, or rafting.

    Frequently Asked Questions

The best time to visit Nepal for the Nepal Private Tour is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These periods offer ideal weather conditions, clear mountain views, and comfortable temperatures for exploring all destinations on your Golden Triangle journey.

Optimal seasons for Nepal Private Tour:

    • Autumn (September to November): Widely considered the best time to visit Nepal. The weather is stable with clear skies, comfortable temperatures (15-25°C), and excellent visibility for mountain views from Nagarkot and Sarangkot. This is the peak tourist season, offering the best conditions for sightseeing, jungle safaris in Chitwan, and exploring all destinations comfortably.
    • Spring (March to May): Another excellent time with pleasant weather, blooming rhododendrons, and clear mountain views. Temperatures are comfortable (18-28°C), making it ideal for exploring Kathmandu's UNESCO heritage sites, enjoying Pokhara's beauty, and experiencing Chitwan's wildlife. Wildlife viewing in Chitwan is particularly good during this season.
    • Winter (December to February): Cool and dry with clear skies, but temperatures can drop significantly, especially in the hills (5-20°C). Days are generally sunny and pleasant, perfect for sightseeing, but mornings and evenings can be chilly. This is a good time to avoid crowds and enjoy lower prices, though some mountain views may be limited by haze.
    • Monsoon/Summer (June to August): Characterized by heavy rainfall, high humidity, and lush green landscapes. While the rain can make some activities challenging and roads may be affected, this season offers fewer crowds, lower prices, and incredibly verdant scenery. Wildlife viewing in Chitwan can still be good, and the rain usually comes in afternoon showers rather than all-day downpours.

Recommendation: For the best overall experience with optimal weather, clear mountain views, and comfortable conditions for all activities (sightseeing, jungle safaris, cultural exploration), we recommend autumn (September to November) or spring (March to May). These seasons provide the perfect balance of pleasant weather, excellent visibility, and ideal conditions for experiencing all aspects of the Nepal Private Tour, from the ancient cities of the Kathmandu Valley to the jungles of Chitwan and the serene beauty of Pokhara.

You'll have no trouble communicating while exploring UNESCO World Heritage Sites and shopping in these ancient cities.

Nepal uses 230 volts AC at 50 Hz, and primarily uses Type C (European two-pin) and Type D (Indian three-pin) plugs. For your Nepal Private Tour, we recommend bringing a universal travel adapter that supports multiple plug types to ensure you can charge your devices at all hotels and accommodations throughout your journey.

    Plug types used in Nepal:

    • Type C (European two-pin): The most common plug type in Nepal, featuring two round pins. This is the standard European plug that works in most hotels and accommodations throughout your tour destinations.
    • Type D (Indian three-pin): Features three round pins in a triangular pattern. This plug type is also commonly found in Nepal, especially in older establishments or certain hotels.
    • Type M (South African): Some hotels may also have Type M sockets, which have three round pins in a larger format.

What to bring for your Nepal Private Tour:

    • Universal travel adapter: A universal adapter that supports Type C, D, and M plugs is highly recommended. This will ensure you can charge your devices at all hotels in Kathmandu, Nagarkot, Pokhara, and Chitwan throughout your tour.
    • Voltage converter (if needed): Most modern electronic devices (laptops, phones, cameras) are dual-voltage (100-240V) and only need an adapter. However, devices like hair dryers, electric razors, or other appliances may require a voltage converter.
    • Power bank: A portable power bank is useful for charging devices during long drives between destinations or when power outlets are limited, especially useful during your journey from Nagarkot to Pokhara or Pokhara to Chitwan.

Note: Most hotels in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan, and Nagarkot have modern power outlets that can accommodate various plug types. However, power cuts (load shedding) can occasionally occur in Nepal, though they're less frequent in major tourist areas. Most hotels have backup generators, but it's wise to keep your devices charged when possible. Your tour guide can advise you on the power situation at each destination.

Nepal's national flag is truly unique and holds the distinction of being the only non-rectangular national flag in the world! This remarkable flag is a source of national pride and reflects Nepal's rich cultural heritage and independence. During your Nepal Private Tour, you'll see this distinctive flag displayed throughout the country.

    What makes Nepal's flag unique:

    • Non-rectangular shape: Nepal's flag is composed of two overlapping triangular pennants, creating a distinctive double-pennant shape. This makes it the only national flag in the world that is not rectangular or square. The upper triangle is slightly smaller than the lower one, and they are joined together.
    • Symbolic design: The flag features a crimson red background with a blue border. The upper triangle contains a white stylized moon, while the lower triangle contains a white stylized sun with 12 rays. These celestial symbols represent the hope that Nepal will endure as long as the sun and moon exist.
    • Historical significance: The flag's design dates back to the 19th century and was officially adopted in 1962. The triangular shape is said to represent the Himalayan mountains, which are central to Nepal's geography and identity. The two triangles may also represent the two main religions of Nepal - Hinduism and Buddhism - living in harmony.
    • Cultural meaning: The crimson red color represents bravery and is the national color of Nepal. The blue border symbolizes peace and harmony. The moon and sun symbols have deep cultural and religious significance in Nepali tradition, representing permanence and the hope for Nepal's longevity.

Where you'll see the flag during your Nepal Private Tour:

    • Government buildings: You'll see the flag prominently displayed at government buildings, including the Kathmandu Durbar Square and other historical sites you'll visit.
    • Public places: The flag is commonly displayed at schools, public squares, and important landmarks throughout Kathmandu, Pokhara, and other destinations on your tour.
    • Festivals and celebrations: During national holidays and festivals, you'll see the flag displayed more prominently, and it's often part of cultural celebrations you may witness during your tour.

Interesting fact: The unique shape of Nepal's flag makes it challenging to reproduce accurately, and it's protected by strict guidelines regarding its design and proportions. This distinctive flag is a symbol of Nepal's independence and unique identity, and seeing it during your Nepal Private Tour is a reminder of the country's rich cultural heritage and the pride Nepalis have in their nation.

    • Physical activity: The tour involves moderate walking and sightseeing, but no strenuous activities. If you have mobility concerns or health conditions, inform us in advance so we can make appropriate arrangements.

    Pre-travel health preparation:

    • Travel insurance: Comprehensive travel insurance with medical coverage is essential. Ensure it covers medical evacuation, as quality medical facilities may be limited in some areas.
    • Medications: Bring an adequate supply of any prescription medications you take regularly, along with a copy of your prescriptions. Pack a basic first-aid kit with common medications for headaches, stomach issues, and minor ailments.
    • Medical facilities: Kathmandu and Pokhara have good private hospitals and clinics. Chitwan has basic medical facilities. Your tour guide can assist with accessing medical care if needed.
