This is a truly great and accessible tour of Nepal, perfectly crafted for families, friends, and any traveler who is a lover of culture and nature. It is a journey that includes all the main attractions of this small, enchanting Himalayan realm—its towering mountains and ancient temples, its diverse landscapes and royal palaces, its incredible wildlife and timeless legends, and its warm, welcoming people.
The itinerary for our Nepal at a Glance trip commences in the vibrant and historic capital of Kathmandu. Here, you will experience an exceptional blend of ancient heritage and astonishing modernity as you take a guided tour of the city's most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites, including the sacred Pashupathinath temple, the giant Boudhanath and Swayambhunath Stupas, and the historic Durbar Squares. To balance the business of the capital, you will then explore the wisdom and artistry of Patan and Bhaktapur, two ancient cities that are living museums of Newari culture and architecture.
From the valley, we will take you to the famous hill station of Nagarkot. Here, from an elevation of 2,175 meters, you will witness a spectacular and immaculate panorama of the high Himalayas, with the ranges of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Manaslu, and even Everest crowding the horizon. The journey then continues, transporting you to a completely different world: the subtropical, jungle wonderland of Chitwan National Park. You will be involved in a variety of thrilling activities, from a true jungle safari in a jeep and a peaceful river canoe safari to a guided walk with a naturalist and a visit to a local village to learn about the unique customs of the Tharu people.
The next iconic location on our tour is Lumbini, the sacred site where Lord Buddha was born and a mecca for Buddhists from all over the world. This is the perfect place to soak up the peace, calm your nerves, and reflect on your existence as you explore the Maya Devi Temple and the international monasteries. Your journey then takes you to the serene haven of Pokhara, but not before a brief and charming pause at the hidden treasure of Tansen. Pokhara is a city of incredible natural beauty, with its crystal-clear lakes, lush forests, and breathtaking views of the Annapurna range.
As we continue, the medieval charm of Bandipur will welcome you, a beautifully preserved Newari town that offers an insight into a culture that seems to be vanishing from the capital. To bring a delightful ending to your grand tour, you will take an exciting cable car ride up to the summit of Chandragiri Hill for one last spectacular, 360-degree view of the Himalayas before returning to Kathmandu. Magically attractive and suitable for all seasons, our Nepal at a Glance tour is a splendid combination of cultural experiences, natural wonders, and lively adventures.

Jojolopa and Namaste! At the terminal of TIA, our appointed correspondent will greet you with a Khada and then transfer you to your pre-reserved city accommodation. After some moments of rest, you can wander in the vicinity of the hotel or simply unwind in the hotel garden. In the evening, we will gather with our guide, who will share comprehensive information about our program.
After breakfast, we will go on a visit to Kathmandu's UNESCO World Heritage-listed places. First, we will visit Pashupatinath, the holiest Hindu shrine. Next, we will move on to tour the Boudhanath Stupa, one of the largest stupas in South Asia. Then, we will continue on to see the more than 2,500-year-old Swayambhunath Stupa (Monkey Temple). Finally, we will progress towards the old part of Kathmandu: its Durbar Square, where we will see the Hanuman Dhoka royal palace and the home of the living goddess, Kumari.
Today, we will visit two additional UNESCO-listed Heritage sites. First, we will proceed to visit the oldest city of Patan, full of exotic pagodas and cultural heritage. Then, it's now time to move on to the Araniko Highway to visit the original home of Newar culture—Bhaktapur. Its palace square is particularly elegant, where we will see the Royal Palace Complex and the 5-story Nyatapola Temple. We will now proceed to Nagarkot, only around half an hour away, where we will have sensational mountain views from our overnight establishment.
With the sun coming to the horizon, we will quickly make our way to the View tower of Nagarkot. The phenomenal sightings of the Langtang, Manaslu, and even Everest will be ready to wish us a good morning. After the bewitching spectacle, we will journey back to our hotel for breakfast. It's time to buckle up and travel back to Bhaktapur, where the Prithvi Highway will lead us towards Mugling, from where we will head south. The Terai flatlands will slowly emerge as we travel to the gate of Chitwan National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site and a delightful abode for over 700 species of animals.
Today is going to be a full, action-packed day of jungle activities. After breakfast, we will set off for an exciting jeep safari through the thick underbrush of the park. With luck, we may encounter deer, rhinos, and maybe even the elusive Bengal Tiger. After our safari, we will head back for lunch, then continue our adventure with a canoe ride on the Rapti River to observe crocodiles and various aquatic birds. We will then visit a little elephant breeding center before ending our day by attending a cultural program—the Tharu Stick Dance.
We will set off today to visit the original birthplace of Buddha—the sacred Lumbini. Our private 4x4 wheel will take us along the broad Terai Highway. After we leave our bags at the hotel, we will venture into the religious sites. The most important centerpiece will be the Maya Devi Temple and the Pushkarini Holy Lake. Then, there are the Ashoka Pillars, which confirm that Lumbini is the place where Buddha was born. There is also a World Peace Pagoda stupa and an international monastic zone that houses monasteries built by various Buddhist nations.
Today, we will proceed with our exploration and journey west to Tansen (Palpa). Known as the "Queen of Hills," Tansen offers a glance at well-protected architecture. The old-designed Newari houses and the historic Tansen Durbar Square will steal our hearts. We will also visit the Rani Mahal (Queen's Palace), a historic palace set amidst lush forests. After this short stop, we will resume our journey to Pokhara, a picturesque region of the Phewa-Begnas-Rupa lake system and one of the most photographed regions of Nepal.
Early in the morning, we will set out on an excursion to the beautiful ridge of Sarangkot. We will be just in time to see the sun emerging from the hill, awakening the sleeping giants of Fishtail and the Annapurna range. Then, we have a free day, which you can dedicate to active recreation like paragliding. Or, you can just get on with a light excursion of the city, which boasts several sites worth your time. The Peace Pagoda, the giant statue of Shiva at Pumdikot, and the mesmerizing Devi's Falls are a few of the must-see attractions.
Enjoy a peaceful breakfast in the majestic surroundings of Pokhara. Then, we will prepare to depart for Bandipur. Traveling once again across the expansive Prithvi Highway, we will reach Dumre, where the road ascends, guiding us steeply up to the beautiful, time-suspended Newari town. Here, you can simply walk through its streets and see the traditional way of life. We will visit the many temples this little town has, such as the Thani Mai Temple Viewpoint, which is only a half-hour walk from the village and offers magnificent views.
After breakfast, we will get ready to return to Kathmandu. We will rejoin the Prithvi Highway, and after a few kilometers, we will take a crossroad to Kurintar town. The cable car station here will transport us to Manakamana Temple. We will spend some time at the temple and then descend back to continue our journey. As we approach the capital, we will take a final detour, ascending to Chandragiri Hill via a thrilling cable car ride for one last bewitchingly stunning view of the Himalayas before dropping you off at your hotel.
